As a UOW College student you will be required to pay course fees throughout your studies. Your fees will depend on the course or program you are studying. Here you will find information on courses fees, government subsidies, loans and payment options and scholarships.

UOW College Higher Education Diplomas are Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) for eligible domestic students. This means the Australian government will pay for part of your tuition fees (called the subsidy amount), and you pay the rest (called the student contribution).
Your final student contribution will depend on the subjects that make up your course, and also on your year of enrolment and completion. Generally speaking, the cost of a UOW College Diploma is comparable to the first year of a UOW bachelor degree in the related study area.

It's important to be aware that the fee schedule below is for full fee-paying students before any fee subsidies are applied.
The University Entrance Program (UEP) offers a limited number of fee free* places for eligible students each year. When a fee free place is offered, there is no student contribution for tuition for this course.

A Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) is an enrolment subsidised by the Australian Government.
CSP are university places where, for eligible domestic students, tuition fees are made up of two parts:
CSPs are available for Australian and New Zealand citizens, and holders of an Australian permanent visa (including humanitarian). Read more about how HECS-HELP and CSP's work
The ‘Standard Course Fee’ will apply to students who are not eligible for a CSP.
You will be automatically assessed for a CSP place. Your offer letter will confirm if you have been offered a CSP enrolment and how to accept it.
Once you accept your offer of a CSP, the next step is enrolment, where you will complete a CSP and HECS-HELP loan form (also known as an eCAF). These can only be supplied by the education provider. You must enrol in your CSP by the census date or it will be cancelled so make sure you check your new student email for instructions.
HECS-HELP is a loan from the Australian Government you can use to cover the cost of your CSP course (i.e. your student contribution amount). After enrolling in a course, you will then enrol in your subjects (sometimes referred to as units) for the coming semester. You must pay the cost of those subjects upfront or defer them to a HECS‑HELP loan by the census date, otherwise your CSP enrolment will be cancelled. It is available to eligible domestic students studying a UOW College Higher Education Diploma.

Smart and Skilled is a NSW government funding initiative that subsidises the costs of Vocational Education and Training (VET) for eligible students to help them acquire the necessary skills to secure employment and advance their careers.

VET Student Loans (VSL) is an Australian Government income contingent loan scheme designed to assist eligible students pay their tuition fees for approved courses.
Eligible students are permitted to access a maximum loan amount of $18,097 for the HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing over the duration of this course. It is important for students to be aware the maximum loan amount is not sufficient to cover all of the tuition fees for this course. Students are responsible for paying the gap amount upfront for each session.
Students are encouraged to review scholarship options that can potentially reduce their tuition fees for the course and narrow the tuition fee gap.
VET Student Loans will only be approved for students who meet eligibility requirements and are subject to availability in accordance with the Federal Government imposed provider loan limit. A VET Student Loan is a VETSL debt that continues to be a debt to the Commonwealth until it is repaid.

Where a student is required to make payments for a part of their tuition fee that is not covered by Smart and Skilled Funding, or outside of the maximum VET Student Loan amount, the following payment options are available:
Payment method: Students can choose to pay their fees upfront prior to the commencement of the course by Visa, MasterCard or Electronic Funds Transfer.
