Your graduation day at UOW College is a momentous occasion worth celebrating. This is a significant milestone in the lives of our students, and we are proud of all you've achieved.
Graduation
The UOW College graduation ceremony is held twice a year on the UOW Wollongong campus. In 2025, graduations will take place in May and November - exact dates will be advised.
Eligible students will be emailed closer to the the event date with an invitation to register to attend.
Preparing for your graduation
To graduate, ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Successfully complete all course requirements.
- Enrolment record indicates a “Complete” on course status.
- Receive a personal email invitation to register for graduation.
Students opting for fast-track after completing a 1st session of their UOW College course are not eligible to graduate, as your UOW College course status will not register as complete. You will receive the award of a Diploma when you have successfully completed the remaining equivalent subject in the UOW course.
Testamur and transcript are not provided at the graduation ceremony. Instead, a Congratulations Certificate is issued.
To obtain your official testamur and transcript:
- Email uowc-academic@uow.edu.au for Academic Programs.
- Email uowc-vocational@uow.edu.au for Vocational Programs.
If you are eligible, you will receive a personal email notification four weeks before the graduation ceremony. If you haven't received an invitation, check your enrolment record in SOLS or contact your Course Coordinator or Program Manager.
Hard copies are mail posted after successfully completing course requirements. No early copies are available. Initial requests are free, but reprints cost AUD$22.00.
The ceremony typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the number of graduands. The Graduation Registration Desk opens 1 hour before the proceedings start and closes 15 minutes before commencement. Late arrivals are not permitted; certificates are issued at the end of the ceremony.
Students do not wear academic gowns, and the dress code is formal to semi-formal. Each graduand can bring a maximum of 6 guests. For additional guests, please contact the UOW College Student Services Manager; details are provided in the invitation email.
